About the Club
Mottram Jive was set up in 2003 by a group of enthusiasts, who with their friends wanted to rescue the venue and continue dancing. Although we are a club, non-members are always made welcome.
Not Tried Modern Jive Yet? Or A Regular Dancer?
Modern Jive is easy to learn and fun to do. We play all genres of music including the classics of Rock & Roll, Swing Latin and Blues. During the lessons we change partners every few minutes, and before long you will get to meet everyone. Our aim at Mottram Jive is to create an atmosphere where people who enjoy dancing can meet and have fun.
The emphasis is on social dancing with plenty of time for freestyle. Our dancing and lessons are led by a variety of experienced, qualified instructors and professional DJ’s, giving a fresh feel to each evening. As well as our weekly sessions, throughout the year we run a number of special events with fun lessons.
